MONNAIE LOCALE - EUSKO

A key player in territorial transition, the association Euskal Moneta is committed, within La Fourmilière, to making money a lever for ecological and social transformation. As a provider of alternative payment solutions, this member manages the Eusko, a currency that can only circulate within a network of local providers (shops, farmers, companies, associations) that have signed a charter of values. The Eusko ensures that the wealth created in the territory stays there, fostering a local economy that protects jobs and strengthens bonds of solidarity.

Far more than a means of exchange, the Eusko is a concrete response to the climate challenge. Through its environmental profiles, the association promotes the relocalisation of purchases, which mechanically reduces CO₂ emissions linked to transport. Its presence in our network strengthens our collective mission: turning our consumption habits into a militant act in defence of the Basque language, support for peasant farming and the fight against global financial speculation.
