Who are we?
Based in Wittenheim, Alsace, Le Relais Est is a SCOP committed to the social and solidarity economy, specialising in the collection, sorting and recovery of second-hand textiles.
With more than 200 employees, 45 % of whom are on integration pathways, the company combines social impact, circular economy and waste reduction.
Every year, more than 8 000 tonnes of textiles, household linen and shoes are collected through a network of 1 700 collection points located in Alsace and Franche-Comté.
These textiles are then hand-sorted in Wittenheim and directed to recovery solutions suited to their materials and condition.
Le Relais Est also offers tailor-made services:
• Pop-up collections for businesses, local authorities and schools;
• Awareness workshops on the circular economy and waste reduction;
• Creation of customised textile goodies, made in Alsace from upcycled materials;
• Supply of recycled wiping cloths to professionals.
