How to practise eco-driving? To drive in a more environmentally friendly way, it is for example necessary to: - reduce the weight of the vehicle as much as possible - check the tyre pressure regularly - not leave the engine running when stationary - change gear at the right moment: for example, for a diesel engine, the best moment to change gear is around 2000 rpm, compared with 2000 to 25000 rpm for a petrol engine. In the end, eco-driving is more environmentally friendly and more economical, while also limiting the risk of accidents! How to train employees in eco-driving? Here are a few suggestions for training employees in eco-driving: - Raise employees' awareness of the environmental issues linked to driving, such as greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution and the depletion of natural resources. - Organise interactive workshops where eco-driving experts can share information on best practices, environmental benefits and tips for saving fuel. - Create practical eco-driving guides, including specific advice such as speed management, vehicle maintenance, sensible use of air conditioning, etc. - Set up a rewards programme for drivers who adopt eco-responsible behaviour. - Collect data on employees' driving, then provide personalised feedback on eco-driving performance. - Integrate eco-driving into company policy by establishing clear guidelines and putting in place incentives for environmentally friendly drivers.
