Installing energy-efficient electrical appliances
Sustainable purchasing
- Solution type
- Everyday action
This approach consists in ensuring that every new piece of electrical equipment entering the establishment (customer areas, common spaces or offices) offers optimal energy performance or fits within a circular economy logic. The establishment undertakes to follow ADEME's strictest recommendations for its new purchases and, whenever possible, to give priority to reuse. The aim is to reduce overall electricity consumption while limiting the ecological footprint linked to the manufacture of new products.

Its features
Performance requirement
Rigorous selection of new appliances ranked among the least energy-intensive on the market, based on ADEME standards and reference comparison tools.
Priority to the circular economy
Promotion of the purchase of refurbished or second-hand appliances. This approach extends the lifespan of equipment and avoids the major environmental impacts linked to the extraction of raw materials and the manufacture of new products.
Labelled selection
Choice of IT equipment and screens bearing demanding environmental labels (TCO Certified, EPEAT, Energy Star), ensuring greater energy efficiency and repairability.
Environmental and societal impacts
Responsible consumption and production (SDG 12) Reduction of electronic waste production and optimisation of resource use through refurbishment.
Climate action (SDG 13)
Drastic reduction in greenhouse gas emissions across the appliance's entire life cycle (manufacture and use).
Sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11)
Improved sustainability of tourism infrastructure within the territory.
