Installing spill containment trays
Water
- Solution type
- Everyday action
- Theme
- Water
This approach consists of strictly regulating the storage of cleaning, maintenance and water treatment (swimming pool) products. The objective is to neutralise any risk of accidental pollution of soils or groundwater and to guarantee the safety of people (staff and guests). It rests on two pillars: the physical containment of substances through suitable retention systems and the securing of access to storage rooms.

Its features
Containment through retention
Use of leak-proof retention trays compatible with the nature of the products (corrosion-resistant for acids, non-flammable for solvents). The capacity of these trays is calculated to contain any accidental spill, even if the largest container ruptures.
Securing access
Systematic storage in dedicated rooms or cabinets, locked with a key and reserved exclusively for trained staff.
Management of incompatibilities
Rigorous organisation of storage to avoid dangerous chemical reactions (separation of incompatible products, storing liquids below solids) and maintenance of adequate ventilation.
Protection of ecosystems (SDG 6 & 15)
Total prevention of leaks of toxic substances into wastewater networks or natural environments (soils, rivers).
Responsible Consumption (SDG 12)
Professional and secure management of the life cycle of chemical products, from their receipt to their use.
