Why take this environmental action? By 2050, researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (ITM) predict that 52% of the world’s 9.7 billion people will live in regions experiencing water stress. This term is defined and used by the World Health Organization (WHO) when annual water availability is less than 1,700 m3 per person. Installing a water-saving device directly on a tap or shower outlet is a good way to preserve this scarce resource and save money! The device can reduce the flow of a standard tap by 30 to 70%. More specifically, an ordinary tap uses 15 litres of water per minute, whereas the estimated flow with an aerator is less than 5 litres, or 9 L for showers.
