Wattwiller natural mineral water springs from the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Natural Park, on a Natura 2000 protected site. Drawn from great depth, this groundwater is naturally pure, nitrate-free and low in sodium. Its exceptional quality is preserved by a protected natural environment and by the geological formations it passes through, which provide natural filtration and optimal protection throughout its underground journey.

Its features
Eco-designed packaging
The fountain consists of a cardboard packaging containing around 45% recycled fibres, which limits the use of virgin raw materials. Its flexible pouch reduces the amount of plastic used by 68% compared with an equivalent volume packaged in conventional plastic bottles.
Reducing the carbon footprint
Its "bag-in-box" format contributes to a reduction of around 40% in carbon footprint compared with traditional plastic bottles.
Reducing waste
The 5-litre format reduces the number of packages needed for the same volume of water consumed, which helps to cut packaging waste, logistics operations and the related CO₂ emissions.
Naturally pure spring water without treatment
Its original purity, free of nitrates and low in sodium, allows it to be marketed without chemical treatment, thereby limiting industrial intervention and energy consumption.
Protecting water resources and managing the aquifer sustainably
WATTWILLER is committed to preserving the water resource over the long term by never withdrawing more than what is naturally renewed each year. Its bottling site is even among the world’s best-performing sites for water savings in bottling.
Protection of the catchment area
Strict measures are in place to guarantee the original purity and unique quality of Wattwiller mineral water. An environmental protection policy is carried out in collaboration with local authorities to prevent any risk of contamination. These actions include: - responsible forestry practices (ONF) - a municipality certified Zero Pesticides - no de-icing salt used on roads near the catchment basin - the development of a specific emergency response plan.
Recyclable and recoverable packaging
The fountain is made of fully recyclable cardboard and a polyethylene (PE) pouch, which is recyclable once the materials are separated. Recycled plastic can be reused to make new products, such as bottles, street furniture or textile fibres, thereby contributing to the circular economy.
