Why monitor and manage energy consumption? Setting up a consumption monitoring system, using bills or measuring equipment, allows you to understand consumption over a given period. This allows you to: • Identify possible increases or deviations in consumption • Establish performance indicators such as kWh/m2/year, which indicates annual heating consumption per square metre. This figure can be adjusted using heating degree days, known in France as DJU, to account for weather variations, allowing two years to be compared while considering only occupant behaviour. • Identify new opportunities for improvement • Check that the contract matches actual consumption and adjust it if necessary.
