Why reduce single-use packaging? Packaging has a significant environmental impact, and even though packaging is getting lighter, it still makes up a large share of French household waste: about one third of its weight and half of its volume. In addition, around 2.4 million tonnes of plastic packaging are placed on the market in France every year. By 2040, single-use plastic packaging will have to have disappeared. There are actions that make it possible to move towards reducing or eliminating single-use packaging: • Eliminate packaging altogether or introduce a deposit scheme • When packaging is nevertheless necessary, in particular for hygiene reasons, it is important to favour packaging that is recycled and can be recycled by the user

Its features
Environmentally friendly
- Waste reduction: Recycled and recyclable packaging contributes to an overall reduction in waste. By using materials that have already been recycled, the amount of solid waste sent to landfill is limited, which benefits the environment.
Resource conservation
Using recycled packaging reduces demand for new raw materials. This helps preserve natural resources, such as trees, water and energy, needed to produce conventional packaging.
Energy savings
Manufacturing packaging from recycled materials generally requires less energy than producing packaging from virgin raw materials. This helps reduce energy consumption and the greenhouse gas emissions associated with production.
