- Solution type
- Service
- Theme
- Waste
- Sector:
- Côte-d'Or, Haute-Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle, Vosges
Its features
Environmentally friendly
- Easier source sorting thanks to equipment dedicated to biowaste. - Production of renewable energy as an alternative to fossil fuels. - Production of natural biogas for vehicles, for a cleaner and more sustainable fuel. - Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions caused by fossil fuels. - Ecological alternative to chemical fertilisers through the use of natural fertiliser - Reduced congestion of landfill sites thanks to the separate management and treatment of biowaste.
Second life
The organic waste collected is recovered through anaerobic digestion to produce biogas, which is then converted into electricity and heat by cogeneration. At the end of the anaerobic digestion process, the digestate is used as natural fertiliser.
Life cycle of this solution
Step 1: The committed consumer
Generates biowaste and food leftovers and sorts them, to give them a second life.
Take this placeStep 2: The collector
Supports the consomm’acteurs and collects your biowaste, with or without packaging, in wheeled bins or pallet boxes.

Step 3: The sorter
Prepares unpackaged biowaste and unpacks packaged biowaste.

Step 4: The recovery operator
Treats the organic pulp from biowaste and converts it into biogas (biofuel, electricity, heat) and natural fertilisers.
