Why is this eco-gesture relevant? Road transport is the 2nd most energy-consuming sector, with 34% of France's final energy consumption in 2015, and it is also the main emitter of CO₂, with 39% of total GHG emissions (excluding LULUCF). As a result, by working with low-carbon carriers, the organisation's environmental footprint is considerably reduced. What are the benefits of the Objectif CO₂ label? The Objectif CO₂ scheme is the only national scheme offering companies a comprehensive, structuring framework for reducing greenhouse gases and air pollutants from their transport activities. The Objectif CO₂ label recognises the environmental performance of road carriers. It acknowledges a high level of energy and environmental performance for the most virtuous road carriers. The label, awarded for 3 years, is validated by representatives of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition, ADEME and professional organisations.
