Why use a reusable water bottle instead of plastic bottles? There are several good reasons to drink tap water: - Mains water is just as safe as bottled water and is tested several times a day to ensure this. - Less plastic waste: only 10% is recycled worldwide, with the rest ending up in landfill or the natural environment. Even when plastic bottles are recycled, the process consumes unnecessary energy when tap water is available everywhere. - Lower CO2 emissions: a half-litre bottle represents around 82.8 grams of CO2. - Tap water in France costs less than 0.3 euro cents per litre, compared with an average of 30 euro cents per litre for bottled water. Encouraging employees or secondary school students to bring their own reusable bottle is therefore an effective way to replace plastic bottles!
