Why adopt this eco-friendly practice? On average, a computer uses 80 to 200 W. Even in standby mode, it still uses between 20 and 60 W! It has also been found that 40% of office electrical equipment’s energy consumption occurs at night and at weekends. It is therefore very important to remember to switch off electrical equipment at lunchtime, in the evening and before leaving for the weekend. To make this easier, it is recommended to install power strips with an on/off switch, allowing several devices to be switched off at once.
