Its features
100% bio-based carbon
Unlike standard petroleum-based plastic, this material is derived from biological and renewable sources. It holds the prestigious USDA certification, guaranteeing that no fossil resource is used in its composition.
Carbon balance
Producing this material is extremely frugal. For 1000 kg of raw material, it generates only 570 kg of CO₂, compared with about 1700 kg for standard polypropylene (PP). This is a reduction of the carbon footprint of nearly 65% from the extraction stage.
Resource optimisation
The thickness of the cup has been specifically studied to offer maximum strength while using the strict minimum of material necessary.
Alsatian roots
The manufacturing and personalisation of the cups are carried out in Pfaffenheim (68). This ultra-short supply chain supports regional craftsmanship and minimises emissions linked to logistics transport.
Material recycling
At end of life, the cup can be ground to obtain granules. This material is then fed back into the production cycle to make new models, without loss of quality.
Industrial compostability
Certified by the BPI (ASTM standard), the material is compostable in an industrial setting.
Natural degradation & zero microplastics
This is the product’s major asset: it generates no permanent microplastic particles. If it ends up in nature, it degrades 90% into CO₂, water and biomass in just 6 months in the soil.
