Its features
Environmentally friendly
- Source sorting: cardboard is sorted separately and compacted at source to ensure a homogeneous, high-quality recycling stream. - Reduction of transport-related CO₂ emissions: the approach is built into every stage of the process. From the source, installing a baler at the customer's site compacts the waste, reducing the volume to be transported by up to five times compared with loose waste. The compacted streams are then taken to a geographically close sorting centre, in order to limit the distances travelled and optimise rounds, thereby reducing the overall carbon footprint linked to transport. - Reduction of the carbon impact of supplies: thanks to reverse logistics, Le Réseau Cocci collects the cardboard bales, optimising their collection in a single pass, at the same time as product deliveries.
Second life
The recycled cardboard is transformed into a new raw material used to make new packaging, thus contributing to a circular economy and to reducing the exploitation of natural resources.
