Using environmentally friendly cleaning products without hazard pictograms
Sustainable purchasing
- Solution type
- Everyday action
Why favour ecological cleaning products? ADEME carried out a study on common products used for cleaning, which revealed that 91% of the household products tested emit formaldehyde, a substance proven to be carcinogenic to humans. Moreover, these substances are even more polluting, notably in the air and in the water. It is therefore customary to protect the health of employees and the environment by opting for ecological products and actions. Which ecological cleaning products should be used? It is notably possible to use: - Black soap or Marseille soap instead of industrial soaps - Natural laundry detergent in flakes - Vinegar to clean surfaces

Its features
Environmentally friendly
- Protecting the environment from hazardous chemical products that can affect ecosystems - Components that are sometimes natural and bio-based, limiting the use of petrochemical products and therefore of fossil resources - End of life of packaging that can enter non-hazardous waste streams, which can (depending on the material) be recycled at end of life (compared with hazardous waste packaging, which is often incinerated or landfilled)
Second life
Certain containers, such as those made of HDPE or PET, or even PP, can be placed in a non-hazardous waste recycling stream to get a second life.
