Environmentally friendly
- Material recycling and recovery: The components are separated in order to recover in particular plastic, steel, aluminium, stainless steel, copper and toner powder. Conibi states that it recovered 100% of the sorted consumables in 2024. - Recovery of toner powder: The recovered powder is itself recovered as a material, rather than simply being disposed of. In 2024, Conibi states that it recovered 101 tonnes of toner powder. - Reduced transport impact: Transport-related emissions are limited by favouring short supply chains and denser collection rounds. - Preservation of natural resources: Recycling the different materials reduces the use of virgin raw materials. In 2024, the consumables processed notably made it possible to recover 509 tonnes of plastic, 258 tonnes of iron and steel and 33 tonnes of aluminium.
Second life
- Reuse of consumables: Certain toners and cartridges in good condition can be checked, refurbished and reused. Parts can also be recovered to be reintroduced into the manufacture of new consumables.
Community solidarity
- The sorting of consumables is partly entrusted to social and solidarity economy businesses. Indeed, 76% of the consumables collected are sorted by SSE businesses.
