Recovery operator
A benchmark industrial site located in the heart of Alsace (Biesheim), Constellium Neuf-Brisach is committed within La Fourmilière to turning the aluminium life cycle into an exemplary model of sustainability. As a global solution provider, this member combines cutting-edge rolling expertise with one of the largest recycling centres in Europe. Its approach rests on a closed loop in which aluminium, an infinitely recyclable material, is recovered, melted and transformed on a single site to serve the automotive and packaging markets.
Much more than a production plant, the Neuf-Brisach site embodies the future of decarbonised industry. With the inauguration of its new recycling centre in 2024, Constellium increased its processing capacity to reach 290 000 tonnes of recycled aluminium per year, the equivalent of 20 billion cans. This strategy reduces by 95% the energy required compared with primary metal production. Its presence in our network strengthens our collective mission: to recognise the industrial champions who invest massively in our territory to reconcile economic performance with respect for planetary limits.
