Its features
Environmentally friendly
- A juice made through a short supply chain The apples are harvested in Alsace, then processed and bottled locally at the Sessenheim site. This proximity between the places of production and processing limits the distances travelled and transport, thereby helping to reduce the CO₂ emissions associated with transporting the raw materials and the product. - Reusable packaging thanks to the deposit scheme The juice is packaged in a reusable 100 cl glass bottle with a deposit, designed for several cycles of use. This system limits the use of single-use packaging and extends the lifespan of the packaging. - Packaging sourced mainly from European supply chains Bottles and other packaging components are sourced from French and European suppliers, depending on the type of component and supply options, limiting transport and CO₂ emissions. - A continuous improvement approach Particular attention is paid to controlling water and energy consumption in the production and bottling facilities. Improvement actions are carried out progressively in order to optimise the resources needed for the manufacturing process.
Second life
- Making use of co-products Co-products from apple processing are put to use as far as possible, in particular as organic matter or agricultural by-products. This approach limits material losses and encourages the complementary use of resources from production. - Glass recycling as a second step When bottles can no longer be reused after several cycles of use, they can be sent to the glass recycling stream. They are then processed to make new glass products. This solution extends the life of the material, since glass can be recycled indefinitely.
