Its features
Environmentally friendly
- A beer made from organic farming Météor’s AL BIO beer is brewed in line with the requirements of organic farming, using raw materials from organic farming. This approach helps limit the use of synthetic chemicals and preserve natural resources and biodiversity. - A local hop, at the heart of the Alsatian terroir AL BIO showcases the Alsatian Barbe Rouge hop, grown close to the brewery. This local sourcing supports short supply chains and reduces the distances travelled by the raw materials, thereby limiting transport-related emissions. - A less energy-intensive production The brewing process achieves about 76 % energy savings, helping to reduce the environmental footprint of production. Controlled water consumption Brewing this beer saves about 33 % of water consumption, promoting a more responsible use of this essential resource. - Packaging designed for reuse Thanks to the packaging return loop, waste linked to primary packaging is almost entirely eliminated. Containers are collected, cleaned and reused, thus limiting waste production and promoting reuse.
Second life
- A bottle designed to be reused Thanks to the deposit system, a bottle can have an average lifespan of at least 6 years and make between 20 and 25 round trips between the brewery and the consumer. Reuse thus extends the life of packaging and limits the production of new bottles. - A second life through recycling When a bottle is too worn or broken, it is sent to the glass recycling stream. As glass can be recycled endlessly without loss of quality, it can be turned into new packaging and fit durably into a circular economy.
