Bureland is a family cooperative from Alsace and Lorraine which, for nearly 60 years, has brought together 17 local farming families around a shared ambition: to offer quality eggs while promoting local agriculture, animal welfare and respect for the environment.
From rearing pullets and laying hens to producing local cereals, and including the sorting, packing and dispatch of eggs, Bureland controls its entire supply chain. This organisation makes it possible to favour short supply chains, support local producers and guarantee good product traceability.
This commitment is recognised by several labels and certifications. The Alsace Excellence label highlights regional roots and responsible practices, while Organic Farming (AB) guarantees compliance with specifications that favour more environmentally friendly practices. Œufs de France guarantees the French origin of the eggs and their traceability. The IFS certification attests to the control of production processes and food safety, while “Savourez l’Alsace avec l’agriculture locale” highlights the regional origin of the products.
Bureland also acts concretely to reduce its environmental impact thanks to its packing centre equipped with photovoltaic panels, which cover about 35% of its electricity needs.
Choosing Bureland eggs therefore means supporting breeders, agriculture and the local economy. The sector supports nearly a hundred people and contributes to maintaining regional know-how. Bureland is also involved in the life of its area through regular support for local associations, solidarity actions and donations to charities and initiatives of general interest.
