Why prefer local, organic meat? Eating local, organic meat makes it possible to: - Reduce your carbon footprint (note that to reduce your carbon footprint significantly, it is preferable to eat less meat, little meat or even none at all). - Choose meat from animals that are better treated: outdoors and in spacious, bright, airy spaces - Eat meat that is healthier for the body because it contains no pesticides, no GMOs and no medicines - Support local producers: by bypassing intermediaries, the producer is guaranteed a fair price. This not only creates a virtuous local economy that can generate jobs, but also saves small farms. How can you make sure the meat is organic? The AB or organic logo (the European Community logo) certifies that the meat is organic. It is a guarantee of authenticity and food safety for the consumer: as in conventional farming, the animals are identified and traceable (feed and care received). The packaging label must carry the statement “Product from Organic Farming”, the batch number, the manufacturing date, and the name or code of the certification body. Compliance at each stage has been checked by an independent, approved certification body, which has in particular verified application of the specifications defined by the “organic” regulation.

Its features
Environmentally friendly
- Reduced CO₂ emissions since the journey is shorter - Protection of the environment because the animals have been fed healthy food from organic farming (hay, cereals, protein crops…). - Protection of the environment because the animals are not treated with antibiotics but receive homeopathic therapies (uncontaminated urine and excrement). - Organic meat also contributes to crop rotation: indeed, the animals’ pastures change every year, in a carefully considered balance with the crops. The land can thus renew itself naturally and the animals are not fed with chemical residues.
Solidarity
- Support for the local economy and employment - Support for animal welfare since, in most cases, the animals are raised outdoors. They also live in vast, bright and well-ventilated spaces.
